Four rules for Marathi captions that sound like you
Write it the way you talk
Everyday Marathi beats textbook Marathi. "भारी", "मस्त", "काय म्हणता मंडळी?" read like a person; "अत्यंत उत्कृष्ट" reads like a notice board.
Keep the English words people use
Workout, weekend, deadline — say them in English inside a Marathi sentence, the way everyone already does. Forcing a Marathi word for each one is what makes a caption sound translated.
Hashtags in both scripts
#मराठी and #marathi are different searches. Two or three Devanagari tags next to your English ones reach both.
Ask in Marathi at the end
A closing question in Marathi — "तुमचं काय मत?" — gets replies from people who would never type an English comment.
